Born in Los Angeles, CA, Tyler grew up in Abington, PA, matriculated through the township’s Rydal Elementary school and attended Germantown Academy where he graduated in 2005. The Academy inducted him into its Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016 for his contributions to the athletic department as an all-time football, ice hockey, and baseball student-athlete. Tyler played Division-I baseball at Holy Cross (2006 and 2007) and William & Mary (2008 and 2009). He received the Patriot League Rookie of the Year Award, the first in Holy Cross history, in 2006 and was the Tribe’s captain in 2009. Tyler transferred to William & Mary where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in January of 2010. His two baseball seasons at W&M left him ranking in the top 10 historically for several single-season categories and all-time offensive categories.
In July 2009, Tyler signed a professional free-agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles where he spent 2009 and 2010 with the Orioles in the minor leagues. In 2009, he received All-Star honors and led the organization’s minor league hitters in batting average (.312). While in negotiations with a professional team in Bologna, Italy in 2011, Tyler opted to return to Germantown Academy to work in the business office and as the Head Baseball Coach before choosing Villanova University for law school in 2014. Tyler interned as a law clerk at Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Holloway for two summers during law school and gained valuable experience in complex civil litigation, receiving his J.D. from Villanova in 2017.
At the firm, Tyler focuses his practice on representing the victims of catastrophic incidents stemming from complex construction, trucking and transportation, and materials handling equipment matters. While Tyler will take any personal injury matter the distance, Tyler has been an integral member of the firm’s trial team for some of the biggest successes over the last several years alongside firm partners, Kevin O’Brien and J.B. Dilsheimer. In September 2023, Tyler and J.B. won a $3.6 million trial verdict in Delaware County related to a rear-end collision on I-95 which left the firm’s client with a deteriorating spinal cord condition. In 2024 and 2025, Tyler was a part of the trial team that achieved an $18 million settlement after a week of trial in Philadelphia on behalf of a client struck by a runaway piece of equipment, and months later was integral to the firm-record $40 million settlement following nine days of trial in Philadelphia. During that time Tyler has been an essential part of the firm in achieving several seven and eight-figure results on behalf of our clients and their families by verdict and settlement in the courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Tyler has also presented Continuing Legal Education courses for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Outside of the office, Tyler supports all of Philadelphia’s collegiate and professional teams. He enjoys historical nonfiction, golf, surfing, and spending time in the woods and on the beach with family and friends. Tyler resides in Cape May County’s famous Pine Barrens just outside of Tuckahoe, NJ, with his wife, Mallory, and their two children Sloane and Booker. Tyler is a certified Firefighter and a member of the Strathmere Volunteer Fire Company in Strathmere, NJ serving the local communities. Tyler also holds the volunteer position of Umpire in Chief with the Perkiomen Valley Men’s Baseball League since 2016.
