Born and raised in Philadelphia, Gina Kirwin serves clients with a practical, hardworking approach shaped by her experience in healthcare and law. A graduate of Northeast High School, Gina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Drexel (Hahnemann) University before spending more than 10 years as a registered nurse. Her clinical experience gives her a deep understanding of the medical issues that arise in complex personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death claims.
After deciding to pursue a career in law, Gina attended Temple University Beasley School of Law’s evening program while working as a paralegal alongside her father, Jeffrey Freedman, Esquire. Following graduation, she continued practicing with her father, benefiting from his 50 years of litigation and trial experience. That experience provided her with a strong foundation in civil litigation and reinforced the values of careful preparation, professionalism, and integrity that continue to guide her practice today.
As a child, Gina developed a keen interest in vehicles, began working on cars while in high school, and became a Pennsylvania-licensed Vehicle Safety Inspector. She remains an enthusiast of GM muscle cars, Mopars and Jeeps, a hobby that reflects her lifelong desire to understand how things work and her hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Gina’s unique background gives her a distinctive perspective in civil litigation. Whether reviewing complex medical records, investigating the facts of a case, or analyzing technical issues, her willingness to dig beneath the surface helps achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
Outside the office, Gina enjoys spending time with her family, hiking the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, fishing the Upper Delaware, attending her children’s soccer and baseball games, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, and taking on vehicle and home restoration projects with her husband. She is also a former avid distance runner who earned Silver Marathon Maniac status after completing six marathons in six months. Although injuries eventually brought her marathon days to an end, she continues to participate in charity 5Ks whenever she can. The determination, perseverance, and endurance she developed through running continue to influence both her professional and personal life.
